High-density lipoprotein (HDL), generally known as “good” cholesterol, is increased by eating eggs. Higher HDL levels are associated with a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, and other health problems. One study found that eating two eggs each day for six weeks improved HDL levels by 10%.
